Greg Prayer for Those Who Mourn May 16, 2008

Bless those who mourn, eternal God,
with the comfort of your love
that they may face each new day with hope
and the certainty that nothing can destroy
the good that has been given. May their memories become joyful,
their days enriched with friendship,
and their lives encircled by your love.

Amen.

Grandma Josie Eternal rest Prayer, May 16, 2008

Lord, you said, "Let the little children come to me." To you I entrust Yahira who has left us. she was but a child and so precious in your sight. You, Lord Jesus, became a little child for our sake. You welcomed children and promised that the kingdom would be theirs. Take Yahira into your arms and lead her into heaven where there will be no more tears, no more suffering, no more pain. Grant her the fullness of joy and eternal peace. You know the burden of our grief over the death of Yahira. One day unite us again. Amen.

May Yahira be held in God's loving embrace now and forever: Lord Jesus, I turn to you with trust.
May her family be consoled in their grief: Lord Jesus, I turn to you with trust.
May the friends of Yahira who shared friendship, be consoled and comforted: Lord Jesus, I turn to you with trust.

  • For all parents who grieve the loss of their children through death, kidnapping, suicide, or illness: Lord Jesus, I turn to you with trust.
  • For children who die of hunger or disease: Lord Jesus, I turn to you with trust.
  • For children who die in war, Lord Jesus: I turn to you with trust.
  • For children who die violent deaths: Lord Jesus, I turn to you with trust.
  • For children who die at the hands of other children: Lord Jesus, I turn to you with trust.
  • For children who die in accidents: Lord Jesus, I turn to you with trust.

Lord Jesus, I entrust Yahira into your hands, trusting that you even now embrace her in your love. Welcome her into heaven together with all children who have died. May we know your saving peace. Amen.

anonomyous Thanks for Potential May 16, 2008

Jesus thanks for the life ;from this and a friend that i have lost, father i see the potential impact a person can make even in this short time. I pray it causes us to reflect and act in the grace that is given to us to touch lives in the seemingly simple ways or what we think to be profound. I am glad to know Jahirya is cool and i pray we live in this truth and others even though we may feel otherwise.

I hope this provides hope and food to sustain  everyone who reads.

Rená You are not alone May 15, 2008

There are no words to help, to comfort, to heal what has been taken from this world. I have personally suffered this loss myself, and know that you will NEVER heal, but you can learn to live with the happyness you were afforded by this beautiful angel from God. You are in my thoughts, prayers, and in my heart. If anything is needed please contact me any time.

Love to you and your family,
Rená

Carol Baby Girl May 15, 2008

My heartfelt sorrow goes out to you dear Josie and your family.  I can't even imagine the sadness you must feel.  I believe there must be some comfort in knowing she is in a far better place.  Only God knows why these things happen, but take comfort in knowing she is with him now.  May time and sweet memories ease your pain.
Sharmel Where you belong May 15, 2008

To the baby I've never met,

Whose now in my heart,

I'll never forget.

You're in a better place now,

Besides the world can be cold;

you're now with your creator, he'll treat you like gold.

He'll, never lie cheat, deceive, or leave you out in the cold.

The world doesn't promise that kind of follow through.

RIP Baby girl,

You will be missed and remembered by so many.

Grandma Josie Grieving mother & grandma & family May 15, 2008

She was so small,
so beautiful,
so full of hope and promise.
What a blessing she has been
to all of us who knew her
those few short months.
She taught us to love,
to hope beyond expectation,
to trust in that which is unseen.
She drew us together
in our anxiety,
our moments of despairing and hopelessness,
as well as in our joys and delight,
and in her every breath.
Her life ended prematurely;
just so had she been born.
Too soon she died.
We wept.
The tears continue.
We hugged
and held one another.
The pain will always linger.
Our hearts emptier
for her absence
and the unfulfilled dreams
she promised.
But the love she brought
into our lives will live forever.
Thank you for giving her to us.
Thank you for the blessing
that she will always be.
Thank you for the love we
would never have known,
but for her
and her brief days with us.
Thank you for Yahira,
our blessed child of grace.
Amen.

Marilyn Cuba Little Angel May 14, 2008

When God calls little children to dwell with Him above, we mortals sometimes question the wisdom of His love. For no heartache compares with the death of one small child, Who does so much to make our world seem wonderful and mild. Perhaps God tires of calling the aged to his fold, so He picks a rosebud before it can grow old. God knows how much we need them, and so He takes a few to make the land of Heaven more beautiful to view. Believing this is difficult, still somehow we must try, the saddest word mankind knows will always be "Good bye". So when a little child departs, we who are left behind must realize God loves children. Angels are hard to find..

A poem that I found consolation in during my loss. i wanted to share it with you..God bless you.
